Hay fever, or allergic rhinitis, is a common allergic reaction causing inflammation of the nose and throat due to allergens like pollen, dust, mold, and animal dander. Symptoms include sneezing, coughing, runny or blocked nose, itchy/watery eyes, itchy throat, loss of smell, headache, and fatigue, lasting for months unlike a cold (1-2 weeks).
